Communication is one of our basic needs – and possibly even more important for people with disabilities. Mobile communications today can both protect and extend the personal freedom of people with disabilities as well as give them more confidence.

Mobile phones can increase confidence and make everyday life easier. They can protect or extend the personal freedom of people who otherwise face limitations. Today’s technology allows people with physical or sensory limitations to use mobile phones for communication without restrictions.

One thing is for sure: bone-chilling cold (extreme temperatures), snow and wet affect mobile phones and can lead, in the worst case, to expensive repairs or make it necessary to buy a new device.
