Global Accessibility Reporting Initiative (GARI) – Mobile accessibility

It is hard to imagine our lives without mobile phones. People with physical or sensory limitations particularly appreciate the advantages of mobile communications. Mobile phones can increase confidence and make everyday life easier. They can protect or extend the personal freedom of people who otherwise face limitations. Today’s technology allows people with physical or sensory limitations to use mobile phones for communication without restrictions.

The database of the "Global Accessibility Reporting Initiative" (GARI) brings together the latest trends and special phones for people with disabilities. The GARI project is the central source of information about the accessibility of mobile phones. The database offers information about the features and functions of each mobile phone as well as a link to the corresponding manufacturer. This service covers all mobile phones of participating manufacturers that have come onto the market after 1 October 2008.
